Day 45, Lake Pleasant Regional Park, Peoria, AZ, Day 2

A warm night, at least compared to many on the trip. It was down to 58°F around 6:30AM, and is 70°F at 1:00PM.

During my morning walk around the campground I found another Escape 21 at the other end of the park. Later, they stopped by the trailer. A couple from Washington that are planning to attend the Quartzsite Fiberglass Rally at Dome Rock in February.

Most of the day was spent reading, both on line & on my Kindle. Current book is The Guardians, by John Grisham. I did check the cell coverage for AT&T & Verizon. AT&T was very erratic, ranging from 9.9Mbps to 23.3Mbps download, and 43.3Mbps up. Verizon was more consistent at 16.7Mbps down & 36.9Mbps up. I suspect the download speed variations is due to loading. There is a cell tower at the end of the campground that appears to include AT&T since the connection is showing -79dBm.

Since the nearest gas station on my route to Dead Horse Ranch State Park is 55 miles away & I'm at 1/4 tank, I decided to make a 23 mile run to Anthem for fuel. $2.99 per gallon, some of the most expensive of the trip. I'm sure I will drive by a station within 23 miles with cheaper gas; I'm taking on Don Guido's roll for pricing!

Dinner was a Smart One Cordon Bleu Panini Sandwich & Applesauce.

Until Next Time -
