Day 21, Friday, August 25, 2017 - Yakima Sportsman State Park, Yakima, WA, Day 3

Friday, August 25, 2017 - Yakima Sportsman State Park, Yakima, WA, Day 3, 0 Miles, 318.2 Towing Miles For the Trip

The project for the day was laundry, and making the bed. While I used to write about the difficulty of making the bed in the Escape 17, I believe making the bed in the 21 is even more difficult. I was able to reach over the entire bed in the 17, while you need to kneel on the bed to reach the head of the full size bed in the 21. Of course if you are kneeling on the bed, it is difficult to pull the sheets & blankets up. I now divide it in half lengthwise, and make it one side at a time, which works.

There is another Escape (a 19) in the campground for the night, a couple from Bellingham that are returning from watching the eclipse in Oregon. They are in one of the loops, which have more room between sites than the section I'm in. There are two loops that include sites 17 - 36, which I recommend over 1 - 16.

By the way, like all of the Washington State Parks, the bathrooms are spotless. They have individual showers in the nearest bathroom that require tokens, 2 for $1.00, which must be purchased at the entrance station, a long walk from the camping area.

That was about it for the day. I did quite a bit of reading, talked with neighbors, then called it a day.

Dinner was a sandwich of fried onions, orange peppers & left over steak, one of my favorites, along with snap peas and the rest of the Knorr Pasta Alfredo side.

Until next time -
