Day 95, Wednesday, January 21, 2026 - La Paz County Park, Parker, AZ, Day 53 - 0 Miles, 3,449.7 Miles for the Trip
47°F overnight, 49°F for my morning walk, 62°F by noon; the high for the day was 67°F.
The smoke is mostly gone. I put on long pants & wore my quilted jacket for my walk this morning. I noticed that the non RV section towards the north is now chalked with numbered sections facing the river. Probably going to sell spaces for the boat races next week.
After breakfast I made a batch of corn bread muffins.
My retirement 1099R's were made available on line today so I finished my income taxes. After that I was back & forth between inside & outside sitting & reading.
I started listening to Jester by James Patterson & Andrew Gross. I just managed to finish Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol 1 day before it was due back at the NYPL. A 21 day loan on most audio books is fine as long as I do some road driving, but if the only time I listen to it is during my 1/2 hour morning walk, it is easy to outlast a loan. My record for the longest audio book was The Count of Monte Cristo - 47 hours. Since I was on the road for most of the 21 days I managed to finish it in time.
I took a break from reading and took my quarter to purchase a gallon of filtered water from the kiosk.
Dinner was a pork loin sandwich.
Until Next Time -
