Bird Attack! |
A slow morning. I made bacon, eggs & home fries for a late breakfast to use up the bacon before its expiration date.
I walked around the electric loop to see what new RVs arrived, walked to the office & back, but spent most of the day sitting outside reading. The John D. MacDonald book Nothing Can Go Wrong is not one of his novels or Travis McGee mysteries (a wonderful series of 21 books that originated the "Florida" detective style. Instead, it is non fiction about his time on the last cruise of the last American cruise ship written by both him & the captain of the S. S. Mariposa. Much slower than his usual novels, but an interesting view of the cruise ship industry. Written in 1981 about a trip in 1977, it shows a very different industry than today.
A bird became very interested in the bird in my truck mirror - where do you thing the term "bird brain" came from? I put the 80 - 400 zoom lens on the D850 & took a few photos of him/her attacking the bird in the mirror. I believe it is a cactus wren, but the colors are a bit different from those in my bird book. In any case, a bit of entertainment for the afternoon.
Dinner was a steak, pepper & onion sandwich made with left overs from last night's dinner and today's breakfast, and a peach cup.
Until Tomorrow -
