Our Sites at the Balloon Fiesta |
Finally, a lazy day. Didn't get up until 8:30, made breakfast & coffee & sat around until 11:30. We headed to the Fiesta campground and waited in a very long line to register. After filling the fresh water tanks, we were guided to our sites. We were told there would be no chance of getting 2 sites together, but that is what we got. Only problem is the volunteer that guided us thought our spaces were 3 sites, rather than 2, and parked us way too close together. I thought it was just the fiesta cramming in as many as possible, but Anne complained that she couldn't even get her awning out, and someone in management came over & told us it was 2, not 3 sites. Of course that was after I had set up, so I had to pack up to move 10'. We are next door to the registration booth, a bit of a haul to the balloon launch area, but it is a large area and we could be much further away. There are shuttles, not sure how often they run or if they can get us to our early morning balloon ride tomorrow.
After setting up for the second time, Don & Anne headed to Sam's Club for a set of tires for the van, & I wandered over to the Action RV booth & bought an Anderson Leveler to replace the one I somehow left behind. I got a good recommendation for a Hot Spring in T&C, NM, so I might stop on the way south.
Dinner was pizza from Mario's, along with a salad. While they said they would deliver to the campground, Don & Anne brought it back on the way back from getting tires.
Until Tomorrow -
