Day 53, Wednesday, September 26, 2018 - Pleasant Harbor, Peoria, AZ

Our Sites
Wednesday, September 26, 2018 - Pleasant Harbor, Peoria, AZ, 108.5 Miles, 4,637.5 Miles for the Trip

We made a couple of stops in Sedona on the way out of town, then headed down AZ 89A & AZ 260 to I 17 into Peoria. We are at Pleasant Harbor RV Resort & Marina. This is a resort that actually looks like one, although the section they put us in is labeled "Temporary Sites", has one picnic table per 6 sites, and is on dirt. Electric & Water site for $36.00 per night, although Don & Anne are paying a bit more since they are "on the lake" (which is about 50' below & a couple hundred feet away - hardly worth an extra $6.00 per night). Bathrooms are drive to only, and we haven't found the showers yet, although they did give us access cards (one per trailer) to them. By the way, is is 106°F at 3:00, and even now at 8:20, it is still 94°F outside. Needless to say, the air conditioner is running & I don't expect to shut it off to sleep.

After setting up we went to visit with Don's brother who lives a short distance from the campground. We hung around until around 6:30, then headed back to the trailers so I could do my 7:00 eye drops. With three different drops that are on different schedules & number of times per day, it seems my life revolves around them, but they do seem to be slowing down the damage caused by Glaucoma.

Dinner was a turkey sandwich, peaches and Cape Cod potato chips.

Until Tomorrow -
