Trip to the Algonac (Lockport) Rally & the Niagara Wine Escape Rally, Day 14

Monday, September 16, 2024, Home, Oswego, NY - 159.7 Miles, 750.7 Miles for the trip.

Even though there were few of us left, we did have a campfire last night. Since the official fire tender, Alf's daughter Elizabeth had left, I pulled out the "Super Starter", my propane weed burner to start the fire. We sat around & talked for a bit, then I headed in to post the pages & do my 2nd batch of eye drops.

I did end up with a "rare" photo - the photographer! Thanks to Lorraine.

A good trip home. A fairly long wait at the border, including them closing the line we were in, but someone came out and moved posts around so that we ended up in the slot next to the one we started in. Very short questioning at the booth. I parted with the Guidos at the border since I was heading northeast and they were going southeast. Evidently the scheduled-by-Garmin route from I90 to home up NY 34 to NY 104 was closed so it routed me up I390 to NY 104 just east of Rochester. More time on 2 lane roads, but a steady 60MPH most of the way home. I arrived around 3:00.

Parked the trailer and only took the daily essentials since I'm heading to Letchworth State Park on Thursday. Overall mileage a bit less than last year since Lakeport is closer to the border than Algonac. Adding this trip makes the trailer mileage 56,456.9 since purchasing in 2017, and 1201 nights in the trailer.

Dinner was my usual "home from a trip" meal at Rudy's - this time a Red Plate - fried shrimp, fries & Macaroni salad.

Until the Next Trip -
