Day 162, Sunday, March 30, 2025, River Pointe Campground, Morganton, NC - 158.7 Miles, 4,519.8Miles for the Trip
A warm & wet night. Very light rain for most of it with a couple bursts of heavier periods. I finished breakfast & packed up the trailer, heading to the dump station around 9:30. One 5th wheel ahead of me that was almost finished. I dumped and headed out of the campground around 10:00. Most of the drive was on US 23 & I 40. I arrived at River Pointe Campground around 2:00. On the way I stopped at an Ashville Ingles for gas ($2.74) and a couple of grocery items - I even found a package of Thomas' Corn Toasties, but forgot a microwave baked potato. The one I had in the trailer grew many sprouts.
I'm in site 3, a long back in site on course gravel. A picnic table & fire pit (although the entire state is under a burn ban, not that I make many campfires). Water & Electric for $50.00. A long walk to the bathrooms, which are individual rooms. I'm here for one night.

I checked AT&T - no data connection, and Verizon - 52.31Mbps down & 13.63Mbps up. No trees, so Starlink would work great but I didn't set it up & went with Verizon.
Around 4:30 I made the long walk to the showers. As mentioned, they are family restrooms (5 of them) each with a shower, sink, toilet etc. The shower has a 30" shower stall with a large shelf high enough to be out of the spray, 5" fine spray shower head, and a shower curtain. Plenty of hot water once it gets there, and the entire room as a drying area. 2 large double hooks next to the shower and a 9 hook strip near the door. Overall, an A.
Back at the trailer I ate dinner, then read outside for a bit. Outside didn't last too long - heavy rain started at 5:10.
Dinner was a Healthy Choice Cafe Steamer Chicken Alfredo bowl.
Until Next Time -
