2024-25 Trip to the Southeast, Day 71

Day 71, Sunday, December 29, 2024, Lakepoint Resort State Park, Eufaula, AL, Day 7 - 0 Miles, 2,834.7 Miles for the Trip

Quite a bit of rain overnight, including some thunder & lightning. The lawn next to my site (the area where I was parked the first day) is a little wet:

The Lake Next Door

Warm overnight, but cooled down to 58°F by morning. The sun finally broke through around and it hit around 62°F by 11:00AM, 65°F was the high for the day. I met a tent camper moving in when I went for my morning walk. 

Since I have a lake both next to & around my trailer, I used my folding rake to dig a drainage channel from the site to the field.

I thought about moving, but I'd have to stand in 2" of water to run up the stabilizers & pull the utilities. Since it is suppose to be dry for the next 5 days, I'll wait & hope the water levels go down.

Dinner was a late lunch of tacos, so I'll just do some crackers & cheese at dinner time.
