Pickin' in the Pasture, Day 3

Another cool night with a bit of furnace running, but up to 65°F outside by 9:30. I had a Texas toast breakfast sandwich (egg, bacon, sausage, cheese on Texas toast) at the food truck. A bit greasy, but great.

Back at the trailer I started putting together today's page.  Here are a couple of photos, but check out today's Pickin' in the Pasture page for many more.

Tomorrow I'll be heading home.  If I remember, I'll a post when I get there, but if not, the next trip will be to the Michigan Algonac (but at Lakeport State Park this year) rally leaving Oswego on September 3rd.

Pickin' in the Pasture, Day 2

It was a cool night with the outside temperature going down to 53°F.  I had the furnace thermostat set to 60°F and it came on a couple of times overnight.  The sun was out so it warmed up quickly.  I watched the afternoon & evening sets and took lots of photos.  The Friday, page 2 link.

Pickin' in the Pasture 2024, Day 1

This is my third time visiting the Pickin' in the Pasture Bluegrass weekend on a sheep farm in Lodi, NY.

I left Oswego around 10:00, and arrived at Pickin' in the Pasture around 11:30. 84.4 miles on NY 104, NY 14, NY 96 and a bunch of county roads. All set for a weekend of Bluegrass music!

As usual, I set up in one of the fields. A bit soft - needed 4 wheel drive to position the trailer. OK left to right, but a 15" rise to the front of the trailer. Dry camping, and while I brought my generator, so far it is cool enough not to need the AC.

After setting up the trailer I went for a walk around the camping area & checked out the seating for the shows. Since there was space under the tents, I went back with a chair. During the walk I found another fiberglass trailer - a Casita. I took a couple of photos on my walk, many more at my Pickin' in the Pasture webpage.

The performers started at 2:30, and again after a dinner break at 6:00.  Again, many more photos at the webpage.

I called it quits at 9:15 and headed back to the trailer to post today's pages, but Nothing Fancy played until well after 10:00.
