Day 153, Friday, March 21, 2025, Fort Yargo State Park, Winder, GA, Day 5 - 0 Miles, 4,274.6 Miles for the Trip
Back to cool nights - it was 36°F this morning. I wore my knit hat & gloves for my morning walk. While there were folks out, some cooking breakfast on grills, none were in shorts! My next door neighbor who was car camping left this morning. During my walk I found my other next door neighbor (the one that was using his Class A as a toad) parked on a site on the lake. Maybe his trips in the RV were to scout for a site he'd fit in. While the lakeside sites are well filled, the rest of the park is fairly empty - lots of available sites. I did see a few reserved signs put up by the campground host this morning, in fact I have new neighbors on both sides of me, one in a class C and the other in a class B & tents for the kids. There are still many empty sites.
After breakfast I sat in the trailer reading. Current book is J. A. Jance's Remains of Innocence. I am listening to The Hangman by Louise Penny. I finished it and started listening to Exposure by Ramona Emerson.
It was still only 46°F at lunch time so I'm still in the trailer reading.
Around 1:30 I headed to Walgreens. The back ordered meds came in so I was able to pick up everything in one stop. After that I headed ti the Winder Ingles. A huge store with just about everything I was looking for except Thomas Corn Toasties.
Back at the trailer it was warm enough to site outside as long as you were in the sun. 62°F at 6:00.
Dinner was a grilled turkey burger, and the rest of the Bush beans.
Until Next Time -
