Nantucket, Day 11

Our Limit of Clams

An early morning; up at 5:30 to catch the tide for clamming. Somewhat foggy, but not so much that we couldn't find the clamming area. Also quite cool. The water actually felt just about as warm as the air. We s0pent a couple of hours working in waist deep water, each getting our limit.

Back at the house I spent the rest of the morning reading.

Dinner was hamburgers & Clams Casino.  Clams Casino are raw clams on the half shell covered with ground up Ritz crackers soaked in butter, covered with a chunk of bacon, & baked until the bacon is done.  A great way to do clams!
