Thursday, August 9, 2018 - Lake Gogebic State Park, Marenisco, MI, Day 2, 0 Miles, 995.8 Miles for the Trip
We all got to sleep in this morning since it was the first 2 day stop. We spent most of the day trying to find campgrounds for the next 4 days. An August weekend is not the best time to be looking for campgrounds, particularly when you want two sites together. Lots of full campgrounds near Duluth where the Bay front Blues Festival seems to be happening. We finally found something for tomorrow, although it will make a change in our planned route to Winnipeg. Not a bad one since we will see part of Minnesota that we haven't seen before.
Anne also found sites for us right up until the Boler 50th starts, so we are good for over a week. Other than that we just sat around & read. The park is surprisingly dry with the downpour overnight. I felt sorry for the tenters, but everything has dried out be the mid afternoon.
Dinner was Anne's Chicken & Artichoke with pasta. I guess it will be my turn tomorrow!
Until Tomorrow -
