Almost Packed & Ready to Go

Saturday, August 4, 2018 - Oswego, NY, 0 Miles, 0 Miles for the Trip

We are finally ready to go. Don & Anne are here, both trailers are parked in the driveway, and everything except what we will need in the morning is packed.

By the way, dinner was at Rudy's; the last time I'll be able to eat there until next year. A couple more photos at today's LakeshoreImages page.

I have to get over being lazy and shooting photos with my phone. While the camera in each is pretty good (better in the 10 than the 7+) they don't compare to the Nikons. Under ideal conditions they are acceptable, but I wasn't able to recover the highlights and fill in the shadows to anywhere near the extent possible with the 14 bit images produced by a real camera.

It is still pretty hot, particularly for Oswego. By this time of day (6:30) it has usually cooled to the middle to low 60's. Right now it is still 82°F outside. Don & Anne may skip the spare bedroom & spend the night in the trailer where they have air conditioning. I'll stick it out under the ceiling fan in the bedroom!
