Day 53, La Posa West LTVA, Quartzsite, AZ, Day 4

A Very Hazy Moonrise
While the full moon is tonight, last night's looked full, with lots of haze, although it cleared up a bit a little later - a better moon image at today's LakeshoreImages page.

A little cooler than last night, but much warmer than upstate NY. During my morning walk I met the guy with the 4000 watt trailer. Called Silent Power, it has 15 solar panels, and 20 kilowatts of batteries. The trailer is a bit larger than my Escape. He runs everything & anything in the Class A RV he pulls it with, using more than 2 KWs per night, and close to 5KW per day. An interesting rig that lets him stay anywhere, and run his 40' motorhome as if it is plugged into a 50 amp service.

After breakfast I headed to the laundromat to do two loads of clothes & a shower. No changes from last year - $8.00 for a shower (including a towel, washcloth, soap & shampoo).

After putting away the laundry, I sat outside & read. Eventually, it cooled off enough that I moved in, but went back out to cook dinner, which was a couple of steak tacos made with yesterday's left over New York Strip.

Until Next Time -
