An Air Burst |
Friday, February 16, 2018 - SARA Park Rodeo Grounds, Lake Havasu City, AZ, Day 5, 0 Miles, 4,177.3 Towing Miles For the Trip
After posting yesterday's journal, I hauled my camera & tripod to the level above the parking lot my trailer is in & found a spot on the front edge that had a pretty good view of the fireworks area. They started firing off shells well before dark. I took some photos with my 70 - 200 mm lens, but would have preferred the 24-70mm for some of the images. I'll try that tonight. Actually, a 50 - 150mm lens would probably be the best from the position I was at, but I don't have such. We will see if the 24-70mm will do.
Last night was mostly individual bursts with a few multiple displays. Here is a link to some of the images. I'm using Adobe Dreamweaver's built in web page generator for the fireworks pages. I don't like it for my general posts since it doesn't lend it self to text all that well, and it is a "pig" as far as the size of the files it generates, but it is faster to put together a page with a batch of photos, and easier to browse through since you can go directly between the higher resolution images, or use the index page to get to an individual image. Since I have little experience with cascading style sheets, I do wish someone would make a template that has the ability to add text windows.
I'll add more as the day goes on, but will probably be a day behind with the photos since they generally start after dark.
Well, it is now after dinner, and I did shoot the fireworks tonight, and processed them after I got back. I quit at 9:00, but they are still going on. Here is a link to tonight's images.
Dinner will be chicken tacos at the rodeo grounds dinner.
Until tomorrow -
