Castle Dome City Ghost Town |
Lots of good byes as people left for home today. Lots of wind last night. This morning I spent some time picking up trash that had blown all over the area, part of which consisted of many pages of Butterfield 8, one of the books that was on my "free" table. At least the table is still there! I made a run to the LTVA dumpsters with my trash, then packed up some of the stuff I had spread around that I wouldn't be using today. I'll fold down the solar panels and fold up the ground cloth as soon as I finish posting today's page.
After breakfast, I headed to the Castle Dome City Ghost Town & Museum. It is about 63 miles from Dome Rock, most on paved roads, although the last 8 miles is good gravel. I took lots of photos, but rather than duplicating all of them here, I'll just link to the page.
So, this will be the last Quartzsite post. Tomorrow it is Lake Havasu City & hopefully, some fireworks!
Dinner was a salad & a turkey sandwich.
Until tomorrow -
