Wildflower at my Site |
Friday, March 31, 2017, Village Creek State Park, Wynne, AR, 131.5 Miles, 7,041.6 Miles For the Trip
Much of today's drive was on US 67/167, a four lane, limited access road much like an interstate, but with narrower lanes. There were a couple of miles with Jersey Barriers even with the white line on the outside edge of the lane. It got tight when trucks passed!
I stopped at a post office in Beebe to mail Zoe's (my granddaughter) birthday card, and again in Searcy for gas & a Walmart. I pulled into Village Creek State Park around 1:30. I'm in site 4, a fairly level (I didn't have to unhook the truck) water & electric site for $22.10 per night.
There is a small creek behind my site and some pretty wildflowers just behind the trailer. Photos at today's LakeshoreImages page.
I hope this will post. I have no AT&T coverage, and a weak -100dBm Verizon signal that switches back & forth between 1X & 3G. The 3G is pretty solid - I'm able to read forums & websites so maybe it will be OK.
Dinner was a couple of grilled cheese sandwiches & a Del Monte Natural Peach Chunk Cup.
Until Tomorrow -
