Many Black Vultures Over the Campground |
Another lazy day. I did lots of reading, took a walk along the campground, and a shower.
There are hundreds of vultures that arrive every evening. Unlike the turkey vultures out west, they are a little smaller, and have white tipped wings. I looked them up in my iBirds app and it appears they are Black Vultures. They must overnight in the trees across the river, and circle over the campground & river at different heights. It reminds you of the movie "The Birds" although I never got a photo of a large group. A couple more photos at today's LakeshoreImages page.
That is about it for the day. Because we are expecting thunderstorms in the AM, I started packing up the outside stuff so I'll spend less time in the rain. Of course that probably will result in it not raining!
Dinner was mostly leftovers - the rest of the ravioli, spaghetti sauce, but with meatballs & sausage rather than shrimp.
Until Tomorrow -
