Saturday, March 25, 2017, Dripping Springs State Park / Okmulgee City Park, Okmulgee, OK, Day 2, 0 Miles, 6,630.7 Miles For the Trip
Not much happening today. We did have a thunderstorm last night with a bit of rain, and it has cooled considerably. Right now, at 2:40 it is only 53°F, the high for the day. While I didn't use it last night, I dug out the cube heater & have it going on low to keep the trailer at 67°F.
I took a break from doing nothing & walked around the campground. About 1/2 through the walk, another Escape 17 pulled by. Dave, a fellow Escape owner from Buffalo, NY saw my blog last night, realized he was driving by the park & stopped by to say hello. He is on his way west. After a brief chat, he headed on & continued my walk around the campground. I stopped by the bathrooms at the other end of the campground. Much newer, nicer, and separate showers, but they have the high pressure shower heads, and cost $1.00 for 6 minutes; mine are free. It does appear to have heat, which would be nice today.
Back at the trailer I snacked, wrote a couple of postcards for the grandchildren, & read most of the afternoon.
Dinner was a Chicken Pot Pie baked in the trailer to use the extra heat from the toaster oven.
