Tuesday, December 27, 2016, La Posa West, Quartzsite, AZ, Day 10, 0 Miles, 3,855.7 Miles For the Trip
Since yesterday was so busy (not), I slept in this morning & didn't head for coffee until a little after 9:00AM. After breakfast I drove to Lifestyles RV to find the price of repairing the gasket on the refrigerator door. As expected, the gasket is not replaceable; you need to replace the entire door. At $500.00 for the parts, shipping & 1/2 hour of labor, I'm going to try to repair the tear in the gasket before purchasing an entire door. The first attempt will be a bit of superglue.
After that I took a long drive down the La Posa South road to see what was on the other side of the BLM area. Eventually, I got tired of driving & turned around & came back. I did find the limit of the camping area. Back at the trailer I sat in the sun & read for a bit. It was actually warm enough to be comfortable, at least in the sun & using the trailer to block the wind. I talked with another trailer owner who rode by on his bike for a bit, then made dinner, which was a Bubba Burger & the rest of the asparagus. I did manage to knock over my wine glass & spill half of it all over the table & me. No, I was sober - just my usual clumsy self!
Until Tomorrow -
Belated welcome back to Arizona, Jon. I fell into ignoring your blog when you were home and not posting, and just discovered I'm a couple months behind on your new trip. Look forward to seeing you in Feb.
