Monday, December 26, 2016, La Posa West, Quartzsite, AZ, Day 9, 0 Miles, 3,855.7 Miles For the Trip
A busy day. After breakfast I packed up the rest of the laundry & headed into town to the laundromat. Quite a crowd, but I didn't have to wait for either washing machines or a dryer. While the close were drying I headed for the showers. For $7.00, you get a wash cloth, towel, soap & shampoo (although I usually use my own). No sink in the shower room, but there is a mirror to make it easier to shave. There is a time limit of 20 minutes, which I don't see how someone could reach. More than 5 minutes in a shower is too much for me.
On the way back to the trailer I filled a propane tank for $10.15 - 4.5 gallons @ $2.05 per gallon plus tax.
After dropping the laundry & propane back at the trailer I headed to Blythe to do some food shopping & pick up my prescriptions at Rite-Aid. I managed to find everything on my list except Turkey Bubba Burgers & Bushes Bourbon & brown sugar beans.
after putting away the groceries, I sat out and read. It is still a bit cool for sitting around without doing anything - 59°F was the high, particularly with enough wind to make it feel cold even in the bright sun. Glenda, the Casita owner that camped next to me for awhile last year stopped by. She & a friend are camped at the southern end of the campground.
Dinner was a grilled chicken thigh, asparagus, and the rest of the Knoor noodles from the other day. I reheated them in the microwave - 2 minutes used around 3 amp hours. Since the bright sun put me a bit above full, I can afford the amp hours even though there isn't enough sun left in the day to put them back.
Until Tomorrow -
