Sweet Darlene's Christmas Dinner |
Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, and all other holiday best wishes to all. Just in case you were discouraged from the idea of staying at Quartzsite by yesterday's post, check below for what it looks like today. I also added a photo of what my hometown of Oswego generally looks like this time of year. I say generally, because the photo is a few years old - I'm not there to take one today, but my son tells me that there is snow on the ground & it is raining. Photos at today's LakeshoreImages post.
I Skyped with my daughter & family while they were spending Christmas with Brian's parents in Oceanside, NY, and face timed with Don & Anne visiting their kids in South Carolina.
After a quick breakfast I did some reading, downloaded an update to my GPS (lots of sun providing power, and, because I spent the first part of the month in Big Bend with no cell coverage, lots of Jetpack data left.)
Around 12:15 I headed to Sweet Darlene's for a Christmas dinner. A choice of turkey or ham with all the fixings. While I had no problem finding a table at 12:30, by 1:00 there was standing room only. Not a bad dinner for $11.95.
After that it was back to the trailer for a bit of relaxing & posting this page. Dinner will be something simple; I had a huge lunch!
Until Tomorrow -
