2025-26 Trip to the Southwest, Day 35

Day 35, Saturday, November 22, 2025 - Sunrise RV Park, Deming, NM, Day 2 - 0 Miles, 2,764.2 Miles for the Trip

40°F for the overnight low, 52°F for my morning walk. If you do every row in the park it works out to .76 miles.

After breakfast I read forums & journals. Casita announced yesterday that they are building a 24' fiberglass trailer. Escape announces a week ago that they are building a 13'. I don't know which trend either spotted, but it can't be the same one.

After lunch I made the short hop down Business I 10 to hit Walmart. Very busy - the weekend before Thanksgiving is probably not the best time for shopping, but my next two stops are a long way from any store.

It warmed up to 68°F with a light to medium wind. Still too windy to sit around outside so I'm in the trailer reading & listening to WNCW & Going Across the Mountain, and an all afternoon show of Bluegrass music. As soon as the sun went down (now a little after 5:30) is cooled down rapidly, 60°F heading to an overnight low of 42°F.

By the way, for those opposed to noise, a steady drone until after midnight from I 10 can be heard, a little closer is a railroad (no horns, but engine & track noise) and Deming airport is on the other side of I 10. Mostly small planes, but last night a couple of larger twin engine prop planes made their presence known.

Dinner was a Chef Ramsay Chicken Marsala Pasta bowl.

Until Next Time -

  2. Even though we got some rain today, the weather has been OK. I'm heading to Sunny Flats in AZ then to watching the Sandhill Cranes at Whitewater Draw. A short stay at Lost Dutchman SP, then to La Paz County Park in Parker, AZ for December & January.

Happy Thanksgiving to you as well,

    Jon
