2025-26 Trip to the Southwest, Day 29

Day 29, Sunday, November 16, 2025 - Pecan Valley RV Park & Farm, Junction, TX, Day 2 - 0 Miles, 2,232.7 Miles for the Trip

A much cooler light than the last few. Down to 50°F and since I had a couple of windows fully opened, the heater ran quite a bit until got up and closed all but one (with well sealed fiberglass trailers, you need to have some air circulation to prevent condensation).

It was up to 53°F when I went for my morning walk. I took a couple of photos of the chickens & goats:

After breakfast I read some forums & journals. AT&T is showing 130Mbps down & 26.03Mbps up so I didn't bother checking Verizon. I do know it is working - my Verizon phone that I use as an internet radio had no problems overnight or this morning.

I ordered a dozen eggs, $5.00 and almost instant delivery to the trailer.

I received the usual email from RV Life's Trip Wizard describing my drive tomorrow to my next stop. They include Tips, and the bad news is the restaurant at Fort Stockton RV park is closed due to the loss of their chef. I was looking forward to some other-than-me cooked meals. Since it will be time for an oil change for the truck I'll have to unhook anyway, and may scout out some restaurants.

Definitely a warm day. While my outside thermometer says 91°F, it is on the sunny side of the trailer. Still, sitting in the shade feels warm. I finished listening to Karin Slaughter's audio book - Pieces of Her, and downloaded James by Percival Everett.

While sitting outside I made my usual Sunday phone calls. Everyone is doing OK. Karin went to Jane Goodall's Memorial last week - She worked for her organization for awhile when they first got back from Botswana.

Dinner was a Scott & Jon's Shrimp Scampi bowl.

Until Next Time -
