2025-26 Trip to the Southwest, Day 24

Day 24, Tuesday, November 11, 2025 - South Toledo Bend State Park, Anacoco, LA, Day 3 - 0 Miles, 1,761.6 Miles for the Trip

Thanks for your service to all vets on Memorial Day.

A little cooler last night, going down to 39°F but above the predicted low. The cleaned Walmart ceramic electric heater kept the trailer at 64°F.

For my morning walk it was my quilted jacket but a regular hat rather than a knit cap. Only 4 other trailers in the loop with a tent camper in the dry sites across from the bathrooms.

After breakfast I tried again to make reservations for our trip to EggFest after the Spring Fling rally, this time with much better luck. We are booked for a week at Rideau Campground in Ontario Canada with an overnight stop at Blue Haven campground in Ellenburg, NY on the way.

I also tried to pay some expected medical bills with less luck. I do wish the various portals attached to my doctors (I have 4 different portals) included billing, but they don't. They refer you to a billing site that has Account # as the first question. Since the Oswego Health Origination uses a different account for each bill, you are stuck if you can't look inside the billing envelope. I see the envelope using the USPS "Informed Delivery" system, but that is only a picture of the envelope. I guess that is enough whining.

After that & lunch, I did some reading. Current book is Donald Westlake's Put a Lid On It. I've read over 20 of his books and enjoyed all of them.

Dinner was a Boston Market Chicken Pot Pie.

Until Next Time -
