Day 32, Wednesday, November 19, 2025 - Fort Stockton RV Park, Fort Stockton, TX, Day 3 - 0 Miles, 2,418.4 Miles for the Trip
A warmer night, only down o 60°F with a short run of the electric heater in the morning.
During my morning walk I saw another molded fiberglass trailer, a Meerkat. Still being made by Little Guys in San Diego, CA, weighing 1180 pounds & 13' long.

After breakfast more reading. I sat outside moving between hazy sun and the trailer shadow. By the way, I should probably mention road noise when describing the site. I'm in the middle of the park, about 1/4 mile from I 10. You definitely hear traffic when sitting outside. Not like they were next door, but if any traffic noise bothers you, you won't be happy. For some reason it seems louder at night, at least until the amount of traffic falls off around 11:00.
Around 1:30 I headed to Stockton Ford for an oil change. They also rotated the tires for $30.00, and did their best with a couple of fender washers to fix the fiber board cover under the truck.
On the way back I stopped at the local Loves and filled the truck at $2.61 per gallon and made an early dinner of a Carl's Guacamole bacon burger & fries.
With the sun gone behind clouds and a moderate wind it was a little too cool to sit outside even though it was 75°F out so I'm in the trailer. I did take the time to hook up the truck to save some time in the morning.
As noted earlier, dinner was a Carl's Guacamole Bacon Burger.
Until Next Time -

Hey Jon. The Meerkat isn't all-molded, it's aluminum skinned. The only thing molded fiberglass is the poptop. We have a Meerkat show up at the NOGs on a consistent basis. Cute trailer! But not an all-molded towable. Continued safe travels! Donna D.
ReplyDeleteSorry about that. As you said, a cute trailer.
