Day 169, Saturday, April 6, 2025, Smith Mountain Lake State Park, Huddleston, VA, Day 7 - 0 Miles, 4,732 Miles for the Trip
Another warm overnight with the temperatures not much below 70°F until morning, and then only down to 68°F. A bit of rain during the morning but cloudy the rest of the day. The high was 77°F at 4:00.
I spent most of the day sitting outside reading. I finished Echogenesis by Gary Gibson. An interesting idea with some holes in the writing. The second of a 3 book series will be out in September & I'll probably get it. I started The Fallen Architect by Charles Belfoure.
The campground is fairly empty with lots of folks leaving this morning and only a few moving in. I Decided to live with one night with a slightly off level trailer and hooked up to the truck. As long as the front of the trailer is a bit high I don't mind; sleeping head down doesn't work.
I also pulled the water hose so all I need to do in the morning is disconnect the electric. Since it is suppose to be raining and I have a long 240 mile or so drive, cutting down the hook up time will be good. Of course it was also suppose to rain all day today, so I'm not sure of the accurate of my weather app. On the weather radar app I can see clouds heading towards us, but they evaporate before they get here. I hope it is that way tomorrow all the way to Washington.
Dinner was an Amy's Enchilada with Rice & Beans Bowl.
Until Next Time -
