Day 93, Monday, November 5, 2018 - Big Bend National Park, TX, Day 2

Monday, November 5, 2018 - Big Bend National Park, TX, Day 2 - 0 Miles, 6,034.6 Miles for the Trip

Just an interesting note - Knowing I was heading to the Rio Grande Village Campground, with its one pump (well, 2 - it also has diesel) gas station, I topped off the tank at Marathon at $3.35 per gallon, knowing it would be more expensive at the campground. Checked the pump at Rio Grande Village, and it was $2.93 per gallon. Oh well, it was only $20.00 worth.

A warm night, although the morning got down to 52°F outside & 59°F in the trailer. I had the furnace set for 56°F, so it never came on.

It warmed up quickly, and by noon, was in the 80's. I spent most of the day finishing setting up the campsite, trying again to get the NanoStation to work (no success), and reading. After my 3:00 eye drops, I dug out some shrimp from the freezer to thaw, then headed for a shower & to post today's page. The campground is still less than half full, with people leaving & new arrivals.

Dinner will be shrimp Alfredo.

Until Tomorrow -

  1. In Texas now. We drove through Texas when we moved to CA from Iowa. I thought that state would never end.
