Moonrise Over the Mountains |
A very warm night - 59°F for the low, and an even warmer day - 95°F at the outside thermometer on the yoke of the Escape (although I suspect it got a bit of direct sun). In any case, the warmest day I've had since Matagorda, TX.
I only took a short walk this morning, and didn't do a trailer count. Quite a few arrived during the day, however a number also left. We will have to go by the registration pages to get a fair count.
I did a little trouble shooting on a couple of trailers, showed the 17 a couple of times, and basically hung out at the trailer or around the registration table.
I'm glad I took a couple of almost full moon photos last night since we have heavy cloud cover this afternoon that will probably continue into the evening. I did take a few photos of people, and the start of the soup collection for the Saturday soup party. Everyone brings a can on non cream soup, they all get mixed together, and served to the crowd. Sounds like a disaster, but it has always been delicious!
During the afternoon I baked my ugliest blueberry pie ever. I really can't get a good handle on baking a pie in a Dutch oven - I can't use the toaster oven without electric hookups. Can't wait for the Escape 21 with a built in propane oven. In any case, I'll serve it up tomorrow at the dessert pot luck.
After that it was sitting out listening to the Ukulele Concert. Ukulele Mark does a class during the previous couple of days, then the group puts on a concert for Friday Happy Hour. More photos at today's LakeshoreImages page.
Dinner will be a trip to the Friday fish dinner at Sweet Darlene's after the concert.
