Thursday, March 27, 2014, Quail Creek State Park, UT, Day 4 - 0 miles , 6114.6 For the Trip
A cold night - down to 42°F and rain off & on. I feel for the 6 young folks camping in the site next to mine - all gathered together under 4-5 tarps stretched across the picnic table sun shade. Yesterday's wind blew most of the tarps away, leaving their stuff exposed to the rain. Still, they look like they are having a good time.
I didn't do much of anything today. I did get out the portable solar panel - running the furnace, even at only 55°F last night used up enough amp hours that I didn't think the cloud covered sun today would refill the batteries without it. It was down by 25 amp hours this morning, as of 1:45 only 7.5.
No photos today, so I used one from yesterday for this post. There was great color between the sunset on the mountains on the other side of the lake & the gray surface of it, but I wasn't happy with the photo. The campground is pretty empty - while it is fully booked for the weekend, only two RVs pulled in so far today, along with the 3 RVs, 2 tents, and 1 tarp covered table that were already here.
I haven't thought much about dinner - still pretty windy to cook outside, but at least the rain has stopped. Could be another trip to town for a premade meal!
Until tomorrow -
