Day 150, Wednesday, March 29, 2017, Maumelle Corps of Engineers Campground, Little Rock, AR

Site A5
Wednesday, March 29, 2017, Maumelle Corps of Engineers Campground, Little Rock, AR, 129.6 Miles, 6,910.1 Miles For the Trip

While only 129 miles, it was a long drive on a bunch of AR state roads. It looked like there were better roads, but Matilda, my GPS choose those, and I wasn't in a hurry. I had made reservations for the Maumelle COE campground, but after arriving, discovered there was no need; lots of empty sites. I'm in A5, next door to where I stayed last year. A level site with water & electric for $12.00 per night. The campground is interesting - they have a number of full hookup sites that are reserved as long term medical sites for a local hospital. There is also a large marina at one end of the campground. This part of the Arkansas River is big enough for large boats, including barge strings.

After setting up I walked around the campground, then sat out at my picnic table & read.

Dinner was a grilled chicken patty and Bush Brown Sugar & Bourbon beans.

Until Tomorrow -
