Monday, March 3, 2014, Cottonwood Campground, Joshua Tree National Park, CA, Day 6 - 0 miles , 5461.2 For the Trip
While I won't count the mileage since I wasn't pulling the trailer, I drove over 250 miles today. For the trip the RAV4 has driven (well, I've actually driven it) 8365 miles or 2903.8 miles without the trailer.
I am now the proud owner of a 160 watt folding solar panel. A bit heavier than I expected, and I'm not impressed with the construction, but it was inexpensive, and direct from China. No manual, but it does have a built in controller. I'll work out a better way to connect it to the trailer's electrical system after I get back to NY, but for now I'm going to use a 7 pin trailer connector, and plug the trailer into it. It will be a longer cable than I'd like, but it will do for a temporary connection.
No photos today - If I wire up the panel tomorrow, I'll take some.
Dinner will be a chicken thigh & more snap peas.
Until tomorrow -
