Iron Pyrite (Fool's Gold) |
Another quiet day at Quartzsite. I took 8 already read books to one of the book stalls & traded them in for 4 new ones, wandered around the booths in the area, and bought a few more books, and my annual rock. So far it has been a meteorite (maybe) in 2015, A piece of Malachite in 2016, a chunk of obsidian last year, and a 3" diameter, 3 pound piece of iron pyrite (Fool's Gold) this year. All inexpensive pieces (Today's was $18.00) that are used to decorate my TV stand at home. Photos of the meteorite & Malachite are on today's LakeshoreImages page.
That was about it for the day. I did stop at one of the dollar stores for some Knorr's sides, and cooked their garlic shells to go along with a couple of pork chops for dinner.
Until Tomorrow -
