Visiting Quail |
Friday, December 20, 2013, Buckskin Mountain State Park, AZ, Day 12 - 0 miles, 4,822.7 For the Trip
Another quiet day. On my walk I discovered the gift shop was open. While I was tempted by a "T" shirt, the real find was a book exchange. I had about 10 read books piled in the back seat of the RAV4 waiting to be traded - now I have 6-7 unread books, some favorite authors, and some new. I keep a database of read books on my phone since I can never remember which I've read, but since there are 1384 books in the list compiled over the last 6 years, I have an excuse for not remembering all of them.
Other than that it was mostly reading on the compute & my current book - Clive Cussler's Arctic Drift, a gift from one of the nurses at the hospital. She saw me reading a Cussler novel and she doesn't read him, but had the book as a gift. As I mentioned in Wednesday's post, great staff at the Parker Hospital.
No photos today so I'll use one from a previous page. Actually, it could have been today - a group, well, flock of quail visit us at least once a day.
Dinner is in the oven & will be done in about 1/2 hour - a pot pie.
Until tomorrow -
Glad to see that you appear to be feeling better, with no new rapid heart rate episodes...take care...Horst sends
