Day 46, Wednesday, December 4, 2024, Reed Bingham State Park, Adel, GA, Day 3 - 0 Miles, 2,250.5 Miles for the Trip
It got cold enough that the water hose froze. At 4:00AM I tried to flush the toilet & no water. Turned on the water pump & it worked fine from the fresh water tank. Around 10:00AM it was warm enough for the hose to thaw. It warmed up to 64°F during the day.
The plan was to get a haircut but the barber shops that I found using my laptop & phone were either closed or required appointments a day or two out. So, I'll look for a barber shop at Rodman State Park in Florida.
So, I spent most of the day inside reading. I did chat with a neighbor in an Airstream during my morning walk. They are on their way back from the summer in Michigan to their home in Florida. Current book is Mickey 7 by Edward Ashton.
Around 4:00 I did a last dump of the tanks, and unhooked both the fresh water & sewer connection. It is suppose to be a bit warmer tomorrow morning at 40°F, but light rain. Since the site is level, I hooked up the truck to save doing it in the cold rain.
Dinner was a chicken pot pie.
