2024-25 Trip to the Southeast, Day 70

Day 70, Saturday, December 28, 2024, Lakepoint Resort State Park, Eufaula, AL, Day 6 - 0 Miles, 2,834.7 Miles for the Trip

Another warm night. It didn't get below 55°F, and at 11:00AM it was up to 61°F. My weather app tells me it is going to hit 72°F today, but I don't thing so.  The high here was 64°F. A bit of light rain off & on, but it stopped long enough for my morning walk. I walked the Clark Loop next door, and there are about 5 trailers & RVs in the loop. Still only 3 of us here in the Barbour Loop. I wonder about the other trailers here in this loop. I checked to see if there were any other reservations for this week & next, and my site is the only one that is reserved. I could book on line the sites that the other two trailers are in. By the way, even though the loop is near empty, a gray van shows up every day & provides a cleaning crew for the bathrooms.

On the way to dinner last night I found the laundry. It is in a building near the gate to the campgrounds. Four washers and four dryers, a folding table, and bathrooms.

After reading a few forums & journals, I fired up the Kindle. Current book is Something to Hide by Elizabeth George, her latest novel staring Detective Sergeant Barbara Havers and Detective Inspector Thomas Lynley. My current audiobook is Boy's Life by Robert McCammon.

Around 2:00 I headed for a shower. Used a different stall, but everything was the same as the last time. Still a B or B+ rating; wish the water wasn't quite as soft and there was light in the drying area.

While it is up to 63°F, a light fog rolled in and it feels colder.

Dinner was Chef Ramsay's Fish & Chips.
