The Dessert Pot Luck |
While it started out cloudy (I was wondering if I'd ever make back the 43.5 amp hours I was down by the end of breakfast), the day eventually cleared, warmed up into the 60's, and by 4:00 the batteries were full.
It was still quite cool for the swap meet between 8:00 & 10:00AM. I got rid of some stuff, and was good - I didn't buy anything, although I did pick up a 3" sewer elbow from the free pile.
While a few headed home early due to the cold & dreary weather, those that stayed had a great dessert pot luck. While my blueberry pies didn't make it in the top 2 favorites by the judges, I did manage to serve up three of them.
Dinner was the desserts; yes, there were that many and all delicious!

Until Tomorrow -
Jon your pies were excellent. Those tiny berries were some of the best I have had. The flavor along with the extra effort in the crust decoration should have put you over the top.
ReplyDeleteJon you were robbed. Your pies were some of the best I've ever had. Those tiny sweet berries along with the extra effort decorating the crust should have put you over the top.

ReplyDeleteWell, I don't mind coming in 3rd. There were plenty of great desserts. My favorite was the Dutch Oven Peach Cobbler. In any case, the pies were appreciated - they are all gone!
