Sunday, January 24, 2016, La Posa West LTVA, Quartzsite, AZ, Day 67, 0 Miles, 4,046.3 Miles for the Trip
After the walk for coffee & breakfast I read blogs & forums, then headed for Blythe to pick up the two prescriptions that were not ready the last time I was there. I previously mentioned that Rite Aid would only give me one bottle of one of my eye medications, resulting in a 75 day supply rather than the 90 day my doctor ordered. They gave all kinds of reasons, and get angry when I keep insisting that I should bet two bottles. Today I brought up the fact that my drug insurance provider stated that their mail order service would have provided two bottles, and all the other drug stores I've picked up the same medication gave me two bottles, and the druggist (a different one) gave me the additional bottle. Even stranger, for my other eye medication which was one of the drugs I picked up today, they gave me more medication than I usually get. I will never understand the drug industry!
After getting back to the campground I sat outside and read. Lots of sun & quite warm, however enough wind to keep you out of the shade. I thought about making a last day run through the big tent, but decided I already have everything I need, at least of what they are offering.
Dinner will be spaghetti & meatballs.
Until tomorrow -
You fought the drug industry and you won. Kudos to you.
