Granddaughter Valerie & Washington DC Snow |
Saturday, January 23, 2016, La Posa West LTVA, Quartzsite, AZ, Day 66, 0 Miles, 4,046.3 Miles for the Trip
Another quiet day at Quartzsite (didn't I say that before?) In any case, after coffee & breakfast I made a trip to the Big Tent to see what free stuff I could gather before the show ends tomorrow. I was hoping for another "T" shirt at the Progressive Insurance booth, but only won a package of wet wipes. I also got a fanny pack from a casino, however it has a strap that is a permanent loop with no adjustment, so you can't actually wear it. I did get a snack bag clip from the American Association for Nude Recreation (they do have booths for just about anything here).
After that it was back to the campground for some reading. While cloudy today, it was warm enough to be pleasant. I got a Skype message from my daughter in Washington, DC saying the snow had started. Here is a photo she posted on my granddaughter Valerie in the back yard. Since the grandkids haven't seen show in 4 years, it is pretty exciting. Not so exciting is that Brian (my son-in-law) is stuck in Atlanta on his way home from Africa.
After that it was back to reading, taking a walk around the campground (there is another fiberglass trailer (a Casita 17) in the front section of La Posa West), and checking out all the RVs that have left. There should be a bunch leaving tomorrow & Monday after the show.
I had a big lunch, so dinner will be cheese & crackers & the rest of the snap peas.
Until tomorrow -
