Wednesday, December 16, 2015, La Posa West LTVA, Quartzsite, AZ, Day 28, 0 Miles, 4,046.3 Miles for the Trip
You know I'm getting tired of these cold nights here at Quartzsite! 25°F last night, again, it was warmer back in Oswego in upstate NY. After my morning walk I ate breakfast (made coffee rather than walked to the gas station). Did some forum reading, and waited for the sun to warm up the trailer. It never got all that warm outside - today's high was 56°F, but with the wind it felt colder.
After lunch I drove to town. The "season" is getting underway. 10 - 15 new stalls selling just about anything you can think of (and many things you would never think of or even want) open up every day. Lot of tools, jewelry, RV parts, etc. The most interesting are the ones that have tables filled with what looks like the sweepings of a hardware store floor after a hurricane went through. You paw through the stuff & ask "how much"? The sellers must know each other - the prices are usually the same no matter where or how well displayed.
For 2 hours of walking around, I ended up buying 2 books. Not very productive, but then, I don't have to be.
Dinner was spaghetti & meatballs.
Until Tomorrow -
You may be getting tired of the cold - but, hey, you could have cold, rain, wind, flooding, landslides, and all other manner of shtf weather offered here in the PNW just now - I'm reading your blog with envy!
