2025-26 Trip to the Southwest, Day 83

Day 83, Friday, January 9, 2026 - La Paz County Park, Parker, AZ, Day 41 - 0 Miles, 3,449.7 Miles for the Trip

A cooler night, reaching 47°F in early morning, and windy - the trailer shook with a couple gusts. Up to 51°F for my morning walk - I wore my knit hat!

Sent the morning reading both on line & my Kindle. Last night I finished Bradley's de Luce #8 Thrice the Brinded Cat Hath Mew'd and started the 9th book in the series The Grave's a Fine and Private Place. I listened to book #10 Golden Tresses of the Dead as an audio book in 2023, but I may download it and read it again to finish the series. There is a short story, The Curious Case of the Copper Corpse that I didn't read.

Around 2:00 I headed to Walmart for a card for my brother's birthday. Had to take it to the post office since it required extra postage. Seems like all the singing/talking cards, the envelope said it needed additional postage, but this one didn't. Stopped at Safeway on the way back to pick up a bagel. Neither had the 20 ounce Grape Gatorade Zero packages.

Back at the trailer a read until dinner. Still windy, but it has warmed up to 58°F. According to my weather app it is going to be a cold night, going down to 36°F. Still windy enough to shake the trailer, but the Clam is still standing.

Dinner was a Boston Market Sweet & sour Chicken Bowl.

Until Next Time -
