2025-26 Trip to the Southwest, Day 66

Day 66, Tuesday, December 23, 2025 - La Paz County Park, Parker, AZ, Day 24 - 0 Miles, 3,449.7 Miles for the Trip

Another warm night only going down to 51°F, and 58°F for my morning walk. Heavy clouds with the prediction of rain. No rain so far (at 4:00) but it only warmed up to 66°F. That still sounds nice to my eastern US friends, but cooler than the last two weeks.

I finished Havoc by Christopher Bollen last night and I liked it. First time for this author so I purchased another of his earlier books, A Beautiful Crime. I only read 8% and put it on hold because a long awaited reserve came in at the New York Public Library - Richard Osman's latest in the Thursday Murder Club series The Impossible Fortune. I'll go back to A Beautiful Crime after I finish The Impossible Fortune.

Around 2:00 I made a run to Safeway for fresh blueberries. They are on sale for $3.99 for a 18 ounce tray, which ends up less expensive than frozen.  The problem with fresh is you often get bad berries in the middle of the tray. Four of them will usually make 2 pies, but I bought a 6 ounce package is case there are bad berries in the large containers.

Back at the trailer I decided to head for a shower. Went to building 9, and discovered how to turn down the pressure in shower #1 by pushing in the shower handle. Much nicer at a gentler spray.

I should not have mentioned the rain held off - a very light rain started around 4:30.

Dinner was a Scott & Jon's Shrimp Alfredo bowl.

Until Next Time -
