A busy day. It started with the usual walk for coffee, but with a companion - the guy with the 5000 watt solar trailer was heading that way so we talked all the way there & back. After breakfast I drove to Quiet Times to pick up the package my daughter & grandkids sent. I have a pile of presents sitting in the back of the trailer.
After that I sat inside waiting for Amazon to notify me that my Kindle arrived in the Blythe Rite Aid. It arrived around 1:30, so I grabbed my shopping list & headed west. Lots of traffic on I 10; the checkpoint at the California border was just waving people through. No problems picking up my packages. They don't have an Amazon Locker but use the check out counter to deliver the packages. The next stop was next door at Albertson's. I prefer Safeway, but other than being more expensive (probably because it is in California) it had everything I was looking for. I even remembered to bring my own bags so I didn't have to pay a dime for each.
While we had a brief (less than 10 minutes) burst of sunshine, the rest of the day was heavy clouds. Most of the day the solar panels were producing less than 25 watts, so I'm going into the evening at 79% full on the batteries. If there isn't some sunshine tomorrow, I may have to dig out the generator. I hate to get under 50% even though the batteries will go as low as 10% without problems.
Dinner was a pot roast sandwich & a bowl of leftover vegetables.
Until Next Time -
